End of An Era

Its a sad day today!! Firstly it is the anniversary of my husband's death and our wedding anniversary. Also I have been asked by management at Lithgow City Council to no longer Twitter or Blog as Wallerawang Library as council has no social media policy.

Thank you for following Wallerawang Branch Library over the last few years. I am depressed and extremely disappointed at the decision.

Live Well Challenge - Lithgow City Council

"The Live Well Lithgow healthy lifestyle challenge is a 12-week program that commences from Monday 7 September and runs until 29 November. The challenge varies slightly from week to week, but ultimately it is all about eating healthier foods (getting 2 fruit and 5 vegies every day) and incorporating more activity into every day.

A program of events and activities has been developed for the Lithgow area over the 12 weeks including fresh produce markets, workshops, sports club open days, celebrity walks, supermarket tours and walking groups (cause I know that you all secretly love them)!!

By signing up for the challenge, you will receive a cool bag with ‘good’ goodies such as a pedometer, a participant diary and some bits and pieces. There will be prizes awarded at the end.

You can register for the challenge now, but the kits will be available from Saturday onwards at the Healthy Lifestyle EXPO. This will be held at the Civic Ballroom at the Showground today from 10am to 2pm and should be a great day!!

We have over 30 stalls, fitness displays and Justine from Master Chef as our celebrity chef. We would love to see lots and lots of people there, so bring your family and friends!!!"

Have a Happy & Safe Easter!

Today is Good Friday in Australia.

All of Lithgow City Council are closed and will reopen on Tuesday 14th April. I wish all Wallerawang Branch Library regulars and visitors a Happy & Safe Easter period.
