This Sat morning has been rather slow at Wallerawang Branch Library because at nearby Portland there is the 125th anniversary of Portland Central School. The fun day of celebrations began at 10:00 am with a street parade, followed by numerous festive events with dancers, bands, unveiling of a plaque and tree planting at the school. This afternoon there is the "Great Cement Bag Race" culminating with"The Ball" tonight at the Portland Community Centre.
